Many
organisations have tried to create an empowering environment. Many have
failed. We believe there are 3 main reasons for this:
| Failure to tackle the infrastructure that either enables or prevents people from being empowered (processes, structures, measures, policies etc) |
| We have difficulty letting go |
| We tend to think that we’re ok, but it’s others who are the problem. |
The Empowerment toolkit tackles all these issues, and provides everything you’ll need to make it happen. For example, if you want to run a workshop with your team(s) to get to grips with Empowerment, the toolkit provides the agenda for the workshop (with facilitators’ notes), workshop slides... it even includes the email you can send to your staff to invite them to the workshop.
The toolkit also contains an Empowerment Impact Assessment Tool – a tool that you and your staff can use to measure the impact on performance of being more empowered.
